Maxine Esther Lucille Westerlund was born in the Cereal Hospital on January 19,1940, the 5th daughter of George and Sadie Heatherington of Sedalia, AB.

With the deepest sense of sorrow and loss, our family announces the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and brother - George Herbert Kolodychuk at the age of 83 years on January 16th, 2021.

Irene Mary Kulyk passed away peacefully at the Coronation Hospital on January 16, 2021, at the age of 89 years.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Charlie on January 13, 2021.

Louie “Karl” Berg was born April 29, 1936 as a first generation Canadian in Cereal AB, to Helen “Molly” & Louie Berg. He spent his early years growing up on the family farm with his younger siblings Harington & Peggy near Sedalia, Alberta.

Sara May Elsasser of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Floyd Gordon Elsasser, died peacefully at the Good Samaritan South Ridge Village in Medicine Hat October 31, 2020, at 82 years of age.

It is with heavy hearts that Harry and his family announce the death of their beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.

Hildegund Klothilde Mundt (nee Schiemann) was born March 13, 1935, in Vangerow Pommern (Pomerania), Germany, which now belongs to Poland. When the Second World War had ended her family lived under Polish and Russian authorities for a while.

Valentine ‘Val’ Sol Getz, beloved husband of Doreen Barbara Getz, died at South Country Village in Medicine Hat on October 25, 2020, with his family by his side.

Frederick James Park (Jim) was born on December 17, 1942, to Mary Ellen Park in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Jim left us on October 12, 2020, after his brief battle with cancer.

It is with profound sadness, but also much rejoicing that we announce death of our beloved mother, Hilda Marie Good from her earthly home to her heavenly home.

Sylvia Wiechnik was born to Mike and Marie Skappak, February 20, 1925, the eldest of seven children. She was raised as an Acadia Valley farm girl.

Long-time farmer, rancher, and entrepreneur, Richard Kanegawa, Calgary, died of a recurring lung condition on October 8, 2020. He was 90.

Jacquelynn Mary Lowe, known to many as “Jacquie”, was born on May 19, 1957, to Charles and Mary Bedwell in Rockyford, Alberta.

George Edward Morley Sarvis was born to Goldie and May Sarvis on September 3, 1928, in Medicine Hat, Alberta. He grew up on the family farm in Bindloss with his sisters Muriel and Edith.

Rose died peacefully surrounded by her loving children after a short but courageous battle with cancer.

Ken spent his entire school years in Cereal and started working at the BA Gas Station when he was just 12. In 1970, he started a lengthy career in different aspects of plowing telephone cable for Drain Brothers and AGT which later became Telus.
