Galarneau: Janice Marie, Sept. 16, 1960 – Sept. 1, 2019

Janice was born September 16, 1960, in Calgary, She lived her life as an “Alberta Girl.” Sister, friend and most important, a loving mother to her precious son, Lane.

As the youngest of seven children, Janice had the most endearing quality of making everyone feel welcomed and loved. Always willing to help others, asking very little in return.

From the day Lane was born, motherhood brought love and meaning to Janice’s life. Her joy in his accomplishments would only be surpassed by her pride in his genuine kindness and acceptance of others. A testament to how Janice lived her life.

Janice resided in southern Alberta for the past 25 years and at the time of her death resided in Longview.

This community was home to Janice and this is where her heart will remain.

Janice is survived by her son Lane Douglas and her siblings; MaryAnn Barnett (Ron), Jeanette Ogilvy (Graham), Kathleen Galareau (Angus), Patricia Morrison (Doug), Frank Galarneau (Joan), Alice Galarneau-Kuhn (Pat), and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life was held September 7 at 1:00 p.m. at the Longview Community Hall, Longview, Alberta.
