Elsie Pedersen

March 12, 1919 - December 26, 2021

It is with heavy hearts yet the joy of knowing she is at peace that we report the passing of our mother, Elsie Edna Pedersen, at the age of 102.

Elsie was predeceased by her husband, Cevard Pedersen, daughter, Karen Michaels, son Keith Pedersen, and her siblings Ed, Emma, Lena and Herb.

She will be remembered by her sister Marion Bailey; her children, Ed Pedersen (Judy), Jan Young (Garnet), Lynn Bulloch (Wayne), Charles Pedersen (Rosalie), her daughter-in-law Heather Pedersen (Keith); and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Elsie loved people, she inspired her family and friends, and always gave of herself.

Elsie was born in Estuary, Saskatchewan and grew up on a farm near Empress. She married Cevard Pedersen in 1940 and they farmed near Acadia Valley until 1973, then retiring in High River. Elsie spent her final years at AgeCare Midnapore extended care centre.

The family wishes to thank the staff at AgeCare Midnapore in Calgary for the excellent care they gave Mom. Grace and Isabel particularly brightened Elsie’s life.

Due to Covid-19, a celebration of Elsie’s life will be held at a future date.
