October is Canadian Library Month, and this year's theme is ‘Libraries For Life.’ The Delia Library has oodles of events planned for everyone and looks to raise awareness of Libraries' valuable role in Canadians' lives.
First Nations Public Library Week is October 2 – 6. Come pick up a colouring book!
Drop In Lego Club on October 4, 11 & 18 from 3:30 – 4:30 pm.
DIY Project Nights on October 5, 12 & 19 at 3:30 to 4:30 pm. Explore kits like Rainbow Loom, Origami, Duct Tape Creations, Snap Circuits etc.
Teen Time Only! (13 & up) Monday, October 16, for the Fall Frolic-Scary Movie, games & pizza making. Must pre-register by October 13!
Get your creative paint on at the Vintage Art Party on October 13 at 7 p.m. The painting is a free event of a Fall Gnome, but you must pre-register by October 6 by contacting the Library. Bring your imagination – everything else is supplied. Mocktails and hot drinks will be available.
"Eat To Thrive" sessions on Wednesday, October 25, for positive improvements to your diet and health or if you are simply curious about the benefits of healthy eating. The Library is hosting Kim Thompson to share her knowledge, expertise and experience about 'clean eating.' The sessions are at 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Pre-register for either session before October 18 to reserve your spot.
Please help support our Library by attending the Scholastic Book Fair beginning October 23 and running until October 27 during library hours. Family Night is October 26 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. – there will be draws and prizes!
The Library is hosting a prize basket draw for new & returning users and also a Design-a-Bookmark Contest for kids of all ages! Bookmarks must be submitted by October 31, winners will be announced on November 2, and prizes will be awarded. Pick up your template for your bookmark creation at the Library!

Village or Hamlet? Looking for information? Have questions? Another information session at the Delia Community Hall on October 4 is from 7 – 9 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
The Elton Lammie concert was postponed until October 6 due to illness. If you have already purchased your tickets, they are still good, but if you can't attend on the new date, refunds will be honoured.
