THE DELIA GAZETTE: Local resident performing at Kaleidoscope Theatre

Delia’s own Robyn Thompson is performing in the Winter Wonderettes Christmas musical this weekend at the Kaleidoscope Theatre in Drumheller. She plays Missy, one of the 4 Wonderettes and has been rehearsing for months! The shows are Nov 14-18 at 7:30 pm and on Sunday, November 19 at 2 pm. It would be wonderful if Delians can make it to Drum this weekend! ‘Break a leg Robyn!’
Hanna is having a 2-day Christmas Market at JC Charyk School on November 17 from 4-9 and on November 18 from 10-4; another opportunity to see more vendors and crafts as Delia’s Christmas market was last Sunday, and we were blessed with beautiful November weather. I say the snow can stay away and these above zero temps can stay until December 24!
On November 18, the Munson Fire Dept and the Munson & Area Community Association are hosting a Vegas Night at the Munson Hall from 7:00 pm to midnight.
On November 19, enjoy the music of the Travelling Mabels at the Delia Community Centre for a Christmas Matinee from noon to 5 pm.
Also, on November 19, in Craigmyle, there is a Turkey Supper hosted by the Craigmyle Historic Church from 4 to 6:30 pm.
November 22, join Kim Larson from Big Country Care Network in the Delia Library at 4 pm for a “Finding our Calm” session and learn about managing stress. Refreshments will be served.
On November 26, there will be a morning service at the United Church beginning at 10:30 am, and everyone is welcome to attend.
On December 10, Christmas Carollers will be carolling around Delia from a horse-drawn hay wagon. They will meet up at the United Church at 2 pm and warm up with hot chocolate and hot dogs afterwards. If you would like to hop on the hay wagon and sing along, the more the merrier!
Regular weekly events in Delia:
Coffee & Cards every Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 9 am at the Drop In Centre.
Cards & Pool every Wednesday at 7 pm at the Drop In Centre.
Public Skating every Friday from 3:30 – 5:30 pm and every Sunday from 2 – 4 pm at the Delia Arena and concession is open. Get active, get fed or both!
Curling starts November 23 for Members or Drop-Ins and goes every Thursday at 7 pm at the Delia Curling Club.
Pickleball every Thursday in the school gym starting at 6:30 pm. Please advise Leah in the Library if you plan to play so equipment will be ready for you.
Bingo at the Delia Community Centre on November 21, starting at 7:45 pm. Come early! Sales begin at 7 pm. Bingo is every other Tuesday in Delia, and new faces are always welcome!
