OYEN LODGE: New gazebo purchased in memory of Morley Sarvis

By Dianne Spath

Hello, everyone. It looks and feels like fall is just around the corner. Nights are starting to get a lot cooler. It’s nice to see the flowers and grass still look amazing around the Lodge. Residents are starting to clean out their garden boxes at the back of the Lodge.

Lyla Rutherford has had some visitors, Rena Maurer from Kelowna spent a week with Lyla and Gloria Forsyth has also been visiting Lyla. The maintenance men have been busy putting up a gazebo. Morley Sarvis, originally from Bindloss, was a past resident of the Oyen Lodge who liked and enjoyed living in the Lodge. Morley generously donated money to the Oyen Lodge to use for something that all residents would enjoy. A 14’x24’ gazebo was purchased in his memory and is set up in the courtyard. The residents are looking forward to using it.

Happy Birthday to our CAO Allan Stober on September 21st. Have a great week everyone.
