Oyen Crossroads Museum new exhibit
We here at the Oyen Crossroads Museum are excited to announce our newest little exhibit that can be found in our Greek-Ukrainian Orthodox church. A story centred around early Jewish settler life in the Albertan prairies; this exhibit tells the tale of the local Montefiore Colony and how its pride and joy—the Little Synagogue—was lost for over 70 years only to be rediscovered in the unlikeliest of ways. If you wish to know more about this little house of worship's miraculous journey, please feel free to stop by for a tour!
We would also like to congratulate a few groups of participants that were able to beat the clock and solve our Treasure Hunt during July. It was close, but the Hogans visiting from Calgary solved all the clues with only 20 seconds to spare! There's only one month left, so if you think you can score a better time or want to try it out, call or text us at 403-664-2330, email us at oyenmuseum@gmail.com, or send us a message on Facebook to book a time!
