MP Kurek hosts Town Hall in Hanna

Battle River—Crowfoot Member of Parliament Damien C. Kurek visited Hanna this past Thursday as a part of his 2023 town halls.

"It's important to me that I hear from folks about how they are feeling about the state of our nation," Kurek said, "and to have a conversation."

The October 12th meeting saw about 20 constituents attend with questions at the ready.

Kurek discussed a variety of topics, including local concerns, his work in Ottawa, frustrations with the Federal Government, issues pertaining to rural Canada, and the massive increase in the cost of living, including the impacts of the carbon tax. He shared some of the solutions that Pierre Poilievre and Canada's Conservatives are offering Canadians.

Constituents also voiced their frustration with Liberal failures with grants like Canada Summer Jobs, affordability, and the carbon tax.

Kurek finished his town hall by thanking the attendees and the town council for the use of their chambers.

"A big part of my job as your Member of Parliament is to talk to you about the issues we discussed here today, but many folks don't realize that their M.P. can provide constituents with assistance with federal government programs. If you have one of those concerns, please feel free to reach out, and we'll do everything we can to help."

Kurek will be hosting more town halls in 2024. When that schedule is available, it will be posted at www.damienkurek.ca/townhalls. You can contact the Battle River—Crowfoot constituency office for assistance by calling 1.800.665.4358 or by emailing Damien.Kurek@parl.gc.ca.
