Letter to the Editor: Photo takes the cake

Hello Kate,

I’ve never met you, but have been a long time subscriber to The Oyen Echo. Really pleased that you have taken over and continue to publish.

It’s a nice change to have a new format. Your articles are very good. I have really enjoyed the old-time pictures. The one of the Esther elevator is the icing on the cake. I spent 51 years of my life in that area. Many years during that time, my husband Bill and I ran a general store, post office and UFA bulk gas station. It brings back many memories. Have been in Oyen now for 26.

Once this Covid thing is over and people get out and about, you will get more news from your correspondents. These days nobody has any.
