Food For Thought: What’s a Criminal Worth?

By Robert Blagen

I hear a criminal’s life has been judged to be worth “Twenty Seven Million Dollars.” I wonder what they would consider a good upstanding honest citizen to be worth? I guess we’ll never know because good honest people do not seem to get arrested, or they probably wouldn’t resist and try to fight with the policeman anyway! There have been enough criminals hurt and killed that you would think that they would get the message that it is not a good idea to resist arrest but they don’t seem to be smart enough to figure that out.
