It is with great sadness that we report the passing of our mother, Carol Stulberg, on October 18 at the age of 91 years, following a brief illness. Carol was a long-time resident of the Endiang community, where she and her late husband Jack farmed with their two sons, Les (Rosemary) and Larry (Lorene) and their families. Carol still lived on the home place, in the same house for the past 71 years, where she remained very active. She was involved in the community as a member of the floor curling club in Endiang and the Endmoor Drop-In Centre in Byemoor. Carol loved growing flowers, and she maintained a beautiful yard with many flowers, remarkable for her age.

A memorial service will be held for Carol on Thursday, October 26, at 2 p.m. at the Stettler Funeral Home.

Belated Happy 80th Birthday wishes are sent to Dennis Walker, who celebrated his special day on October 4. Congratulations on this special milestone, and best wishes for many more, Dennis.

We send Happy Birthday wishes to Al Copeland, celebrating 84 years on October 29 and to Joyce (nee Walker) Moore, marking 91 years on October 31. We hope you both have a fantastic day.

Humour for the Day

  • “Today, my son asked, “Can I have a bookmark?” I was so upset; he’s 14 years old and still doesn’t know my name is Rick.”

  • “Five ants rented an apartment with another five ants. Now they’re tenants.”

  • “Still looking for a Halloween costume idea? Go as the person you pretend to be on Facebook.”
