William Glenn Armstrong was born October 9, 1892 at North Dakota. Single and a carpenter by trade, William was living at Cavendish, Alberta prior to enlisting. He enlisted on January 23, 1918 at Calgary, Alberta. William served as a Private attached to the Canadian Infantry (Alberta Regiment) 10th Battalion during the First World War. Private Armstrong died September 27, 1918 and is commemorated at the Haynecourt British Cemetery at Nord, France. Son to Rufus and Anna Armstrong of Cavendish; he was 25.
