Margaret Innes was born in Bailleston, Glasgow, Scotland on August 7, 1925 to parents William and Margaret Innes. She died December 25, 2018 in Oyen at the age of 93, with her four children at her side.
Margaret leaves behind her children Bonnie (Jake), Jack (Kathy), Heather (Jim) and Pat (Alice); daughter-in-law Gail (Bruce) Clarke; grandchildren: Tammy, Michael, Derek, Kent, Kaylee, Sashette, Craig, Brent, Ryan, Jennifer, Jamie, Drew, Kristen, and Steven; great-grandchildren: Katelyn, Kara, Jeremy, James, Cole, Emily, Breanna, Carson, Dakosta, Sarah, Daylen, Danielle, Nick, Madelyn, Bryar, Brant, Kennedy, Kaiden and Brielle; great-great-grandson Jakob; brother Norman (Susan); as well as many relatives in Scotland and Canada.
She was predeceased by her parents William and Margaret Innes; brothers Jim, Peter, William and Joseph; two husbands George Kuhn and Howard Bowering; sons Brian, Terry and Jim; grandson Terrence William; and daughter-in-law Gina.
Funeral Service was held December 29, at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Oyen. Officiating Clergy was Fr. Newton Rodriques. Megan McBain was the organist and Rob Cown was the piper. A eulogy was given by Craig Parker and Steven Kuhn. Special music was provided by Jack Shields. Pallbearers were Brent Parker, Ryan Parker, Derek Kuhn, Kent Kuhn, Andrew Kuhn, Kristan Kuhn and Michael Kuhn. Honorary Pallbearers were all of Margaret’s family, friends and neighbors who cared and shared in her life.
Following the funeral service, family and friends were invited to a luncheon in the Assumption School Gym.
