Cooper: Clair, May 31, 1947 – February 29, 2020

On February 29, 2020, Clair P. Cooper, a loving husband, father and grandfather died in Oyen, Alberta, at the age of 72.

Clair was born on May 31, 1947, in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan to Clair and Elizabeth Cooper. He had six siblings—three brothers and three sisters.

Clair spent most of his adult life working across North America in the Oil and Gas Industry. Clair took pride in mentoring and passing along his knowledge and experience to other young men starting out in the industry. He touched many lives along the way. Clair started working in the Oyen area in 2003 and by 2005, settled permanently in Cereal, Alta. where he married Gaylene Billingsley on January 29, 2011.

Clair is predeceased by Betty Cooper; parents Clair A. and Elizabeth Cooper; a brother and sister; and granddaughter Meagan.

Clair leaves to cherish his memory his wife Gaylene, his five children and Gaylene’s six children; as well as many grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

There will be a private graveside service for Clair. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
