Max Bayne
My name is Maximus Derek Bayne, but this year in Oyen I managed to get the nickname SAM. I got it because Cam couldn’t remember my name at the start of the year and would call me Sam; the name ended up sticking, and now everyone calls me it.
My parents are Susan and Derek Bayne and my brother is Lucus Bayne. I grew up in Beaumont, where I completed the majority of my schooling. I attended Ecole Bellevue school from KIndergarten to grade 2, Ecole Dansereau Meadows School from grade 3 to 6, Ecole J.E. Lapointe School for grades 7 to 9, Ecole Beaumont Composite High School or grades 10-11, and finally South Central High School in Oyen for grade 12. I love the sport of baseball and that is why I decided to come to Oyen in the first place. As most may know, I am a part of the Badlands Badgers baseball academy which I truly love and enjoy. Other than baseball I love playing golf, and try to get on the course whenever I have free time. My favourite memory in school has to be my grade 7 trip to Quebec City. This trip was awesome as it was my first trip without my parents. We had tons of educational experiences, but the best part was the amusement park and water park. The other best part was all the traditional french food we ate. It is hands down my favourite cuisine. Next year I plan on attending Arkansas State University Mid-south on a baseball scholarship where I will take business. After 2 years, I hope to play at another school in the US or in Canada. I hope to finish my business degree or take some sort of finance course.
