Dryden Pidlisny
My name is Dryden Walter Pidlisny, and I was born to Alysia and Kurtis Pidlisny in Medicine Hat, Alberta, on October 3rd, 2006.
I lived in Medicine Hat for four years before I moved to a small town called Burstall, Saskatchewan. I started kindergarten with three other students who quickly became some of my closest friends. Seeing as I grew up in such a small town, there was not much offered for entertainment, so my parents enrolled me in many, many sports. My love of baseball, hockey, and badminton all started from small-town sports, and it grew as I did. I continued my education at Burstall School until grade eight, the highest grade offered in the school. After grade eight, Burstall students were sent to Fox Valley School for the remainder of their education. Although I enjoyed Fox Valley School, I wanted to further develop my baseball skills, which led me to Oyen and the Badgers. Grade ten was a fun year, and I made many new friends and had many unique experiences thanks to the academy. Baseball has always been a passion of mine, but the Badgers allowed me to find friends who loved baseball just as much as I do, if not more. My favorite school memory is just being in Oyen and going to school with kind, like-minded kids, who are passionate about baseball. After I graduate from Oyen, I plan to play baseball in the United States and further my education in something I am equally passionate about.
