Oyen Crossroads Museum looking for phones

We here at the Oyen Crossroads Museum hopes everyone had a fun Canada Day weekend!

We’re excited to introduce our two new museum attendants who will be joining us for the summer, Johnathan Herron and Huston Hogan. Johnathan is currently attending South Central High School and is planning to pursue a career in audio engineering. He’s looking forward to having the opportunity to be more involved with our community and its history. Huston is visiting us all the way from Calgary where he is currently attending high school. He was drawn here by an interest in rural history and is looking forward to learning more about our area. After high school he plans on attending university, pursuing a major in either the arts or music.

Also, we are putting out a call for donations! If you have a piece of history and would like to share it with the community, please feel free to drop by! This summer we are looking for phones in particular, for a new exhibit we are currently planning called, “Phones Throughout the Ages!” And, just as a reminder, if you’d like to try out our new pirate themed treasure hunt feel free to drop by or book a time by calling us at 403-664-2330, by sending us an email at oyenmuseum@gmail.com, or send us a message through our Facebook page. We look forward to seeing you!
