Look how far we’ve come

A March, 1998 issue of The West Central Crossroads featured the latest technology for farmers. “More and more farmers are using the Internet to help manage their operations. One of the more popular websites for producers is the Canadian Wheat Board’s site,” the article stated.

It went on to say, “Information technologies (IT) are changing the way farmers do business in today’s world. The move is toward faster, more accurate and more transparent business communications, and the Internet is the primary mover in this ever-changing scene.”

The photo illustrates how much change has taken place in 25 years.
