Letter: CANADA’S HIGHS IN 2023

We have a 10 year high for domestic abuse, high number of break and enters, high number of car thefts, high cases of shootings, high rates of homelessness, high rate of Food Bank use, high rates of suicides, high food prices, high mortgage rates, high rental rates, high Carbon Tax, high number of scams, high rates of immigrants and asylum seekers wanting to leave Canada because it is such a tough place to survive, and highest number of wild fires set by humans in 2023. These are just a few of Canada’s unwanted highs. The only thing that isn’t “high” is our life expectancy – it fell! Definitely not the Canada we used to know, eh!?
