Happiness comes with a good book, good friends and a good time!

The Gathering of the Goddesses (aka Book Bags) recently celebrated their 20th anniversary. These dedicated readers have enjoyed books, discussions and good times for 20 years.

 “We marked this occasion,” said Lois Bedwell, “by reading local author Del Pratt’s book The Long Ride. "Including Del's book we have read 170 books."

 “Del and his wife Sheila joined us to discuss his book and how he wrote it,” added Lois. “He threw in a history lesson to boot!”

“We have 11 members," said Lois. "Those missing are snowbirds. Nothing gets in the way of the book club for most of us. AND we get all our books through the library!”

Gone but not forgotten: We've had some awesome members who have either moved or passed away: Marge Norris, Donna Scory, Joanne MacQuarrie, Wanda Evans, and Deb Pearen … just to name a few.
