Drumheller RCMP respond to suspicious fires

On June 13, 2023, at 2:43 p.m, Drumheller RCMP received reports of an individual intentionally setting fires in the ditches along Highway 9 at 6 different locations including, Range Road 172, 180, 191, 200, Highway 849, and on Highway 56 South of Munson. Fortunately, Emergency Services were successful in putting out all fires.

Witnesses describe a suspect as:

  • male

  • wearing blue coveralls and carrying a jerry can

  • possibly associated to a blue or grey 1 ton pick up.

Drumheller RCMP are asking the public for assistance. Motorists who were in the area from 2:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. are asked to check their dash cameras and report anything suspicious.
