Christ The Redeemer (CTR) Catholic Schools is proud to announce outstanding results in the 2023-2024 Alberta Education Assurance survey, reflecting the division’s ongoing commitment to providing exceptional, faith-based education. CTR Catholic Schools consistently outperform the provincial averages, demonstrating strong academic achievement, high levels of community satisfaction, and continued investment in student success.

The 2023-2024 Assurance results revealed the following key highlights:

Academic Excellence: CTR Catholic Schools exceeded provincial averages in all 12 required assurance measures, with Provincial Achievement Test (PAT) and Diploma results showing strong growth. Gr. 6 PATs achieved 78.5% acceptable and 26.9% excellence - 10% and 7.1 % above the province, respectfully. Gr. 9 PATs reached 75.2% acceptable, 12.7% above the province and 22.1% excellence. Diploma exam results showed 85% acceptable, with 23.6% achieving excellence, each surpassing the provincial average.

Support for Students: Survey results also highlighted that 89.3% of stakeholders are satisfied with the access to support services, exceeding the provincial average by 9.4%. This is a reflection of CTR’s commitment to ensuring that students receive the assistance they need to succeed, including investment in educational assistants, mental health supports, and learning intervention.

Parental Involvement: 87.3% of parents expressed satisfaction with their involvement in their child’s education, above the provincial average by 7.8%. This high level of parental engagement further underscores CTR Catholic's commitment to fostering strong partnerships with families as the primary educators of their children.

Graduation and Post-Secondary Success: CTR Catholic continues to prepare students for their future, with results showing that 14.8% more students are eligible for the Rutherford

Scholarship compared to the provincial average, 1.7% more students transition to post-secondary education, and 7.0% more students are prepared for work after high school.

Faith Results:

Students, parents, and teachers indicate over 94% satisfaction with the faith formation, education, and partnerships that support Catholic education within CTR. Division-wide assessments also demonstrate strong student knowledge of our Catholic faith.

“Christ The Redeemer continues to display strong academic excellence in supportive and caring classrooms permeated with faith,” said Superintendent Dr. Andrea Holowka “The increase in our already strong results is a testament to the commitment of our teachers to supporting student success. Knowing each student and addressing their learning needs is a fundamental outreach of our Catholic faith.”
