Cereal Kids’ Rodeo 2023
Sunday, August 27, was perfect for the 2023 Cereal Kids Rodeo. The weather was good, the food booth was serving excellent food, and the cowboys and cowgirls put on a fantastic show for the spectators. You could see everyone was focused on doing the best they could. Even if the animals did not cooperate, the riders persevered and finished their rides. Everyone was willing to help and cheer on the other contestants as usual. Seeing the older kids passing on their knowledge to the younger ones is excellent. Parents were great supporters and helped out when needed.
This year, a couple of young ladies did the announcing and did a great job encouraging the riders to do their best. The Cereal and District Athletic Association had the chutes and infield in tip-top shape. Volunteers from the Oyen Day Care manned the food booth. Without these volunteers, events like the rodeo would not happen. Thanks to everyone who came out to help with all the work needed to put on the rodeo. It was a great day of entertainment.
