Alberta man enjoys his building hobby

Orland Thurlow from Stanmore, Alberta, has discovered a hobby that allows him to build in a small space without using tools. Stanmore is a hamlet between Hanna and Youngstown on Highway No. 9. With the help of match stick building kits, Orland has completed many projects on display at a store in Stanmore. During the entire process, he has cut and glued about 90,000 match stick parts. His construction of the Taj Mahal required 11,791 match sticks, and the fire truck needed 2,403 match stick parts. Many of the items represented different countries, and it offered Orland an excellent alternative to watching television or spending time on the computer.
