4-H Alberta celebrates growing financial confidence in Alberta’s youth
4-H Alberta is proud and thrilled to announce and celebrate the launch of generous and strong new funding from TD Bank Group.
As a dedicated supporter of youth in rural and urban communities across Alberta, the new funding provided by TD – through the TD Ready Commitment – will provide additional financial literacy support and resources to 4-H Alberta members and will help expand their financial knowledge and confidence.
The initial $25,000 investment will grow to $40,000 the following year, increasing the learning opportunities and resources year over year. The Financial Confidence program aims to break down barriers by providing educational webinars and workshops on financial literacy and confidence, reaching more than 5,700 youth and nearly 4,000 families. The program will help participants understand the importance of financial literacy and how it relates to our communities.
The 4-H Alberta Financial Confidence webinar series - proudly supported by TD - will launch in January 2025, with three webinars scheduled between January and March 2025 and at least one in-person workshop scheduled for the latter part of the year. Those educational offerings will then be further expanded in 2026, thanks to the generous support of TD.
"We're proud to help 4-H Alberta expand its financial literacy programming for youth and families across our province," said Robert Ghazal, Senior Vice President and Alberta Region Head, TD Bank Group. "Through the TD Ready Commitment, our corporate citizenship platform, we're supporting educational initiatives focused on improving financial knowledge and money management skills."
"We are very grateful for this new collaboration with TD and thrilled to welcome them to the 4-H Alberta family of supporters.
